WATCH: Highlights From Aimee’s 2019 Spelling Bee & Board Games Competition | #SBBGHangout

On Friday, 23rd August 2019, Aimee’s Library & Recreational Centre hosted the second edition of her Spelling Bee & Board Games Hangout.

This annual event provides a platform that encourages children to demonstrate their interest and aptitude for language and learning. It also creates an opportunity for them to expand their knowledge base, build self-esteem whilst honing their creative and cognitive skills.

At the end of the day, nine year-old Osariemen Omosigho emerged winner in the Junior category of the Spelling Bee competition, while 10 year-old Olumide Daniel Ojo bagged the 1st place award for the Senior Category.

The event, which was hosted at Sheba Centre, Maryland, Lagos had over 100 participants in the junior category and over 80 participants in the senior category.

Award winners went home with Cash Prizes, Book Vouchers, Shopping Vouchers, Medals, Trophies and other gift items.

8 year-old Dukiaoluwa Olohunkoya emerged the first runner-up in the Junior Category, Spelling Bee Competition, while Madu Kosisochukwu, 8, was the second runner-up.

Gabrielle Abidakun, 10, was the first runner-up in the Senior Category, Spelling Bee Conpetition, while 13 year-old Odofin Moyinoluwa bagged the prize for the second runner-up position.

10 year-old Gbadebo Valentine was the Master of the Board in Chess, Oladunjoye Seyifunmi, 8, outsmarted other contestants to win the Master of the Board prize for Scrabble and Richard David was declared winner of the Master of the Board prize for the SmartKids Board.
